Christina Hughes

Christina is a freelance dance artist and experimental filmmaker. Her movement based films push the bounds of human physicality in unconventional spaces. Much of her work is inspired by her lived experiences in New York and Alaska. Her dance film “Impossible To See in Full” was an award nominee for the Inspired Dance Film Festival (Sydney, Australia), was featured in the Pinky Thinker Press online issue by Mignolo Arts, and was presented for the Loko Arts Festival (Potsdam, New York). Her choreography has been presented in numerous festivals across the country such as the 2024 Dance Bloc Festival (NYC), Earth Love Fest (Brooklyn, NY) SUNY Potsdam Loko Arts Festival (Potsdam, NY), Fertile Ground: New Work Series (NYC), Salty Showcase (Salt Lake City, UT) and Gigglefeet Dance Festival (Ketchikan, AK).
