Gregor Gasperin

Gregor Gašperin was born in 1984, Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he earned a Bachelor´s degree in journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2014. Between 2005 and 2007, he attended film school under the sponsorship of Slovenia´s Public Fund for Cultural Activities (JSKD), where he studied all aspects of filmmaking, with the special emphasis on film theory and the film history of classical Hollywood, taught and mentored by a cult Serbian film director Jovan Jovanović.During his studies, he did an in-depth study of semiotics, which he turned into an expanded essay and a case study about »The use of sound in film, and its affects on the viewers perception«. He did a lot of documentary work, mainly documenting public protests and other large social events.
