Ron Aldrin Bilon
Ron Aldrin Bilon is a filmmaker based in Quezon City, Philippines, with a passion for storytelling that spans film, animation, and visual media. From a young age, he enjoyed creating skits, music videos, and class project edits with friends, while also exploring comics and game concepts to express his ideas. After starting his career as a software engineer, Ron rediscovered his creative drive through a multimedia duty in his church. This experience introduced him to the world of video production and inspired him to pursue filmmaking as a way to bring his stories to life. He has since written and directed several short films, including the animated short Virus (2021), which was featured in Animahenasyon, a local animation film festival, and For Passion, a collaboration with a UK-based theatre company for the London Festival of Architecture. Both films are available on his YouTube channel, alongside a fan-made tribute film to the iconic Filipino superhero Pedro Penduko. Ron also created Problemado, together with his brother Neil Russell Bilon—a Facebook-based action web series that combines humor with stylized fight sequences, released through their team’s official page. He served as Director of Photography and Editor for his church’s short film competition entries, earning a nomination for Best Cinematography and winning Best Editing and Best Film in 2021. Ron continues to hone his craft—driven by a lifelong love for creative expression and a commitment to telling meaningful, impactful stories through visual media.
