Sandra Lopez Cabrera
Sandra López Cabrera was born in Reus in Catalonia (Spain) but is Friulian by adoption and has been working in the historical dissemination sector as a historical re-enactor for years. You started in Tarragona (Spain) carrying out dissemination projects on gladiators, specifically bringing to light and highlighting the role of the female gladiator. Thanks to this specialization she was contacted to participate in her first documentary as an actress and specialist in gladiatorial combat for the documentary series "Epic Warrior Women, Gladiatrix", on the BBC and SmithSonian Channel. Later she took part in another documentary from the same production company entitled “Epic Warrior Women, Vikings”. By moving to Friuli she learned about Lombard history and from that moment she began working in the historical dissemination of this barbaric people, carrying out various projects as a creative producer and currently as a director. “The religion of the Lombards” and “La Donna Longobarda” were the first works in the role of co-director together with Simone Vrech, director of the previous works created for the “Invicti Lupi” association to which Sandra belongs. The association, led by Matteo Grudina, is the producer of the entire "Langobardi" series. Invicti Lupi is currently producing the new docufilm "Langobardi - Grimoaldo, the first Friulian king" for which Sandra is the sole director.
