Steve Capone, Jr.

A multi-genre, Utah-based writer hailing from the Rust Belt, Steve Capone Jr debuted his YA historical/espionage fiction novel Max in the Capital of Spies: A Max Fredericks Story in March 2024 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. He's editing an anthology of suburban and psychological horror for the indie press he runs, Whisper House Press; that'll be released in 2025. In 2026, Gibbs Smith’s True Fiction Press will distribute Capone’s next YA historical fiction novel, Jimmy vs. Communism, nationwide. You can find his short fiction and nonfiction work in anthologies such as We Are Dangerous (2023, LUW Press), Write Where You Belong (2024, LUW Press), and This Isn’t the Place (2024, Timber Ghost Press). Steve is a long-time teacher and researcher, pizza advocate, dog rescuer, and member of the League of Utah Writers and the Horror Writers Association.
