Sydney Ellen Worden
Sydney Worden is an emerging filmmaker with a passion for storytelling through visual media. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and attending various film workshops, Sydney was honored to win a mentorship through a competitive jury process with DOC and FTM for her project Variations, which led to invaluable guidance from renowned filmmaker Danielle Sturk. Sydney’s work includes creating a documentary centered around a charitable golf tournament, showcasing her ability to capture impactful yet concise narratives with multiple voices. Most recently, Sydney took on the role of Director of Photography for a film in the 48 Hour Film Challenge, further demonstrating her technical skills and creative vision while working under immense pressure. Additionally, she holds a full time job as a videographer at an indigenous-owned advertising agency, where she amplifies diverse voices through compelling content. Sydney also occasionally serves as a wedding second shooter and captures beautiful footage of an emotional life event. With a strong commitment to her craft, Sydney continues to explore new projects and push the boundaries of filmmaking.
