Dilara returns to her hometown after years away to attend the funeral of her childhood friend Jennifer. While reconnecting with old friends, she discovers a true crime podcast about Jimmy, the notorious village outcast once convicted of murder. Listening to the podcast stirs up memories and exposes buried truths, as a hauntingly familiar voice breaks through her headphones. Ignoring unease, Dilara joins her friends at a rave held in Jennifer’s memory. But when tragedy strikes, the lines between past and present blur, and the nightmare of Jimmy’s legacy takes a horrifying turn. Jimmy is a supernatural slasher that delves into the dark allure of true crime and the consequences of unearthing secrets best left forgotten.

REVIEWS:

The fear here doesn’t come from jump scares — it creeps in through grief, shame, and memory. It’s horror as a ghost of consequence. The final 10 minutes? Devastating.

Live Screenings Attendee

JIMMY is a bold, ambitious mix of genres: psychological horror, social commentary, queer trauma, and meta-narrative. It’s messy — but in a deliberate, necessary way. One of the most layered films of the fest.

Gaspar Lombardo

It starts like a crime podcast story… and then it spirals into something way darker. I was like, is this The Ring meets Serial? Creepy, clever, and genuinely haunting.

Giacomo Junior

There was so much beneath the surface — trauma, repression, identity, guilt. The horror wasn’t just Jimmy, it was everyone’s silence. That scene in the room with the sister? Heartbreaking.
