NOCTURNAL

The film left me with a strange feeling. The imagery is scary, yet it doesn’t really frighten. I couldn’t quite grasp the plot or what triggered everything. It felt like a recurring nightmare of some sort. And the ending was confusing — is there something inside her that’s scaring her, or did something enter her just that night? The confusion in my head made it hard to fully immerse myself in or emotionally connect with the film.

So poetic, so painful. The visuals were like a painting falling apart in the dark. A woman, alone, haunted by her own mind — it’s horror through the lens of art and trauma.

That was suffocating in the best way. I felt like I couldn’t breathe with her. The blurred lines between dream and waking life, the shadows — it got under my skin. I still feel tense.

I really appreciated how it showed the weight of living with night terrors without turning it into spectacle. There’s empathy in the horror. That’s rare.
